As a Qualified Dental Technician, you will join a team of eleven Dental Technicians within the Prosthodontic Laboratory, part of the Restorative & MaxilloFacial Laboratories at Newcastle Dental Hospital.
Providing high quality Prosthodontic appliances to our patients within this large Teaching Dental Hospital you will join a busy production team and will also help to support our Undergraduate Student Dentists and Clinical staff in the providing an excellent standard of service to patients.
This senior Technical post will require you to demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience in all areas of Prosthodontics with particular emphasis in complex work involving cobalt chrome frames, Obturators, Implants and Digital capabilities. You will also need to enhance your professional development, to learn new techniques and to be involved in the adaptation of new technology such as CAD/ CAM design and manufacture, 3D printing and other Digital developments.
There will be a need to provide leadership to a team on a daily basis with a commitment to ensuring the Laboratory provides the high level of Technical support to the Department and Directorate.
