Job Description:
We seek a dedicated and responsible individual to join our household as a Housekeeper/Nanny. This position involves assisting with childcare, housekeeping duties, and occasional turnover tasks for our holiday let studio. The role is part-time, requiring one day of work per week.
Responsibilities:
1. Childcare: Provide attentive and nurturing care for our children, aged 4.5 and 1.5 years old, during the times when childcare is required. This includes ensuring their safety, engaging them in age-appropriate activities, assisting with meal times, and facilitating a positive and stimulating environment.
2. Housekeeping: Undertake various housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, tidy, and organized home. Duties may include general cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, ironing, and maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces.
3. Turnover in Holiday Let Studio: On occasion, assist with the preparation and turnover of our holiday let studio. This may involve cleaning and tidying the space, changing linens, restocking supplies, and ensuring the studio is presentable for incoming guests.
4. Occasional Errands: Run occasional errands such as grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, or other tasks related to the smooth operation of the household.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Prior experience working in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
2. Childcare Skills: Possess the ability to engage with children in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate manner. Understanding child safety protocols and first aid knowledge is advantageous, but training can be provided if needed.
3. Housekeeping Skills: Demonstrated skills in maintaining a clean and organized household. Attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning tasks are essential.
4. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently to complete assigned responsibilities within the given timeframe.
5. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and occasional additional hours as required.
6. Reliability: Punctuality and consistent attendance are crucial for this role.
7. Trustworthiness: Maintain confidentiality and exhibit high integrity in handling household matters.
8. References: Provide references from previous employers or individuals who can vouch for your reliability, interpersonal skills, and work ethic.
