Trainee Graduate Quantity Surveyor Role
Our client is an established and growing specialist contractor in the construction industry based in the Welwyn Garden City area, covering a variety of projects including new build, commercial refurb and infrastructure contracts across the UK. Due to further planned expansion, they currently have a requirement for an additional Trainee graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual administration of numerous projects, including identifying opportunities offering best value to the customer, maximizing profitability and limiting commercial risk.
The main responsibilities for this role include;
- You will provide administrative support in addition to learning about the specialist sectors the company operate in.
- Prepare work sheet data by entering rates and descriptions onto excel to send to Senior QS for entry into payment applications.
- Preparation of quotes for additional works on site.
- Undertake surveys, produce estimates and costings for individual projects.
- Preparation of excel worksheet payment applications.
- Attending client meetings to agree accounts face to face.
- Attending site visits with Contracts Managers
- General office filing of work records.
