Job Description

We are looking to recruit a professionally qualified librarian to join our highly esteemed integrated NHS/Keele University Health Library team. This is an exciting new role which offers variety and plenty of scope for development.

With a degree level qualification in library and information sciences, you will be a confident advocate for library services. You will possess excellent communication and IT skills and be able and willing to demonstrate a commitment to our Trust values.

As Assistant Librarian based at Royal Stoke University Hospital, your role will focus on:

Developing outreach services on the Royal Stoke site by proactively liaising with departments and specialties
Working with our team of search experts to undertake expert literature searches to support clinical and management decision making, education and research and more.
Delivering inductions to staff groups and supporting library trainers to design and deliver training in search skills and use of library resources to NHS staff and students on placement.
Supporting the team in the day to day running of the library.
