Working at our residential children's home in Wingrave, near Aylesbury, you will provide direct support to some amazing children who have complex needs, together with coaching colleagues as you develop your own skills, abilities and experience.
This new role of Therapeutic Support Worker provides a continuing professional development pathway, enabling you as a qualified practitioner to deepen your knowledge of the young people you support, and develop an understanding of a range of different therapeutic approaches. You will be a key member of the children's home team, and an important link to the Therapy team.
In order to become a Therapeutic Support Worker, we will support you to complete the relevant training pathway and have a successful six-month review. You will be mentored by one of our therapy team during this time. You will start your new role at the Qualified rate of £11.61 per hour, and after your successful review, this will increase to £12.11 per hour.
These roles are full-time (38 hpw) and you will take your turn on a rota which includes days, evenings and weekends.
