Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Smoking Meat Chef to join our restaurant team. As a Smoking Meat Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimum state of our smoked meat products through the smoking process. You will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of different meats and poultry, while also mastering various smoking techniques to achieve exceptional flavor and texture.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and smoke a variety of meats and poultry according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure the quality, tenderness, and flavour of smoked meat products.
- Monitor and adjust smoking equipment and temperature to achieve optimal results.
- Develop and maintain smoking logs, recording smoking times, temperatures, and other relevant data.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious smoked meat dishes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in smoking techniques.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the smoking area and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Smoking Meat Chef or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of different cuts of meat, poultry, and their characteristics.
- Proficiency in various smoking techniques for flavours and texture enhancement.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Creativity and passion for creating exceptional smoked meat dishes.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Salary: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
