Job Role: Operations Manager / Contracts Manager
Salary: £45,000-£60,000pa DOE + package
Location: Basildon, Essex
Our client is a specialist main contractor who carry out a lot of social housing refurbishment, safety upgrades and roofing replacements on projects throughout London and Essex. They are looking for an Operations Manager.
Duties:
- Work hand-in-hand with the project team to create a mutual understanding of the project strategy based on the requirement of the job
- Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of all project or contract documents so as to be familiar with every detail and/or requirements
- Work with safety units in a bid to plan and manage safety programs for each project and make sure that all aspects of safety are reached
- Oversee projects as they are being carried out to make sure that the work is done according to outlined specifications, and that they also conform with project timetable
- Convey project needs from the site teams and client to the management team
- Assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the company’s relationship with contractors in a bid to produce strategic partnership
- Attending pre start and site meetings on projects with the respective client
- Assessing work from surveys and site visits in detail and then writing, compiling updating project update reports, Method Statements, RAMS, programme updates
- Ensure HSE Guidelines and Highview Rules are followed by Supervisors and Operatives
- Liaising with the TQS to ensure sufficient ordering of Materials and Equipment, receiving and reviewing site reports and documents from the client representatives,
- Liaising with the subcontract supervisor on each contract dealing with day to day queries
- Manage the call off of materials inline with project programmes and start date
- Liaise with the procurement manager in a timely fashion to order project materials
- Assist in staff management of sub contractors and supplychain
