Job Description
At MCS Ltd, we are looking for a Procurement Apprentice to assist the procurement team with raising and sending purchase orders alongside assisting with general administrative duties within the department. You will also negotiate with supply chains, taking responsibility for ordering stationery and office sundries for both our Bristol and London sites.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- You will be supported to learn and gain a basic understanding of procurement
- You will send emails internally and externally
- You will answer internal and external phone calls to both our internal and external customer and contacts from our supply chain
- You will produce and send purchase orders to our suppliers and complete and send account opening forms
- Responsibility for ordering items for our offices and sites
- All we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and we will help build you into a valued member of the team, but punctuality is a must
The duties will depend on your experience and training. Generally, you will:
- Compile and send purchase orders via our software called Easy Build
- Order stationary and supplies for both our Bristol & London offices
- We order everything from site materials to cars, laptops and mobile phones
- Take notes in supplier meeting
- Attend internal project meetings
- General administration duties for the procurement team
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Request quotations from suppliers
- Complete and send new account forms
- Learn and develop your negotiation skills
