Overview (Job role):
IT Field Engineer
Support of the company’s internal business and customer facing hardware and software infrastructure.
The post holder will also ensure that the services provided are delivered within the required SLA.
Device imaging and deployment are a key requirement in this role.
The post holder will be a good communicator capable of working under pressure, they must be flexible and pay attention to detail.
This role requires a lot of driving. The post holder will have their own car and be willing to travel.
Initially the post holder will be commuting into Milton Keynes and Slough.
Overnight stays will be required with this role.
The company will pay the post holder milage for use of their vehicle as well as overnight accommodation, when required.

Responsibilities:
- Daily IT support to end users: Desktop, software, network
- Replacement of hardware and computer imaging
- User set-up: logins, email, computer installation
- Printer support
- User workspace maintenance
- Engage proactively with users, both technical and non-technical, to ensure IT is fit for purpose and supporting the wider business objective.
Soft skills:
- Degree in IT and System Technology field or its equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Windows administration and Microsoft Office
- Great communicator with the ability to explain technical problems to users
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues regarding IT in a manner that is timely
- Problem solver who enjoys working things out

- Ensure implementation of new or updated devices occurs within desired timescales with minimum user disruption.
- Network, cabling and IT general knowledge.
