We are WorkwithYork and are collaborating with our local authority client to find Adult Support Workers for their short breaks service working with adults who have learning disabilities.
Full time or ad hoc hours are available on an ongoing basis, starting immediately or block booking available.
Pay rates range £11.77 to £14.12 to per hour, various shifts available.
We pay weekly using online timesheets, offer a workplace pension scheme, holiday pay, access to training, monthly support meetings and online training given.
Can you demonstrate proven skills for:
- Providing sensitive and flexible support.
- Following and contributing to individual and service care plans, risk assessments and policies.
- Assisting in maintaining social networks and participating in activities.
- Keeping accurate and timely records, respecting, and maintaining customers’ privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with customer and carers and consult with other professionals in emergency situations.
- Working on your own initiative, as well as part of a larger team.
You will need to:
- Have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Have an Adults DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
