About Us

Inspecs Group licenses, designs and distributes branded and non branded eyewear products (optical frames and sunglasses, safety eyewear and ski goggles) with a portfolio of well-recognised brands, both licensed and owned outright and strong portfolio of eyewear clients globally. Our Award-winning Creative Team handles all branded product design, development, marketing and PR in-house at our Head Office in Bath.

About the Role

The Product Developer role is responsible for overseeing the development of eyewear collections from start to finish, every season. The role will require you to you will lead and control the day to day management of the product lifecycle and critical paths of allocated brands and product ranges.

The role requires you to have excellent brand sensitivity and the ability to find a balance between creative, development and commercial requirements to develop product that is category leading for each assigned brand.

Responsibilities

Managing all aspects of the product lifecycle, developing product from the design stage through to delivery. You will prepare range plans, analyse sales data, prepare factory briefs, manage the sample schedule, costing approval, pre-production sample sign off, brand approval, production queries and handle QA issues.

Working closely with the design team, you will manage the briefing process to ensure product designs are on spec, reporting back during the stages of design development to gain approval.

Ensure product briefs are executed effectively and samples are on time by working closely with the team.

Negotiate timelines, costs and priorities with our established supply base to ensure targets are met and product is delivered according to critical path. At times this will also involve requesting supporting certification and communicating our testing procedures.

Input and update data into the PLM system, ensuring all product information is kept up to date.

Ensure processes at our partner brands and clients are and exceed customer expectations.

Oversee all product timelines and drawing attention to any delays.

Responsible for presenting the brand to internal and external teams, which on occasion may require travelling abroad.

All other duties associated with new product development launches.
