At the Bike Club, we provide families with a sustainable and affordable option for getting their children active and enjoying the outdoors. We offer kids bikes on a subscription service that can be exchanged as they grow. Not only are we disrupting the cycling industry, but we are creating a circular economy for bikes!

Tasks

The role is an exciting opportunity to represent the Bike Club at our concessions within the toy departments at John Lewis’s flagship Oxford Street and Stratford Westfield stores.

• As the Senior Bike Club sales associate, you will manage a team of up to 5 brand ambassadors, leading by example and setting a performance benchmark to which all team members can aspire. You will be prepared to cover shifts at times as a sales associate, as well as undertake line management duties when necessary. Overall, you will be an ambassador for the brand as much as our senior sales representative, communicating the Bike Club proposition with passion and pride.
• As with all our sales associates, you will help provide the general public with information on who we are and how they can join. From explaining the benefits of being a member to supporting them with finding the right bike for their child, you will be the go-to on-hand support in-store. Your engagement with prospective customers will lead naturally to new sign-ups for subscriptions, for which a competitive commission structure is available.
• In addition to this, you will act as a point of liaison with the Bike Club growth team, as well as with John Lewis partners. You will ensure that best sales practices and sales floor behaviors are adhered to across all team activities. You will also be responsible for assisting in the training of new team members, briefing existing team members on products and promotions, and accurately reporting sales data.

• Understands how to initiate and conduct a positive sales conversation.
• Presents well, in how you approach the public, with a professional appearance and manner.
• Will make the effort to ensure that your knowledge is on point, and you take the time to learn the ins and outs of the brand and products you are representing.
• Enjoys the dynamic of a team environment but is just as comfortable when working independently.
• Can remain positive and calm through all types of situations
• Enjoys coaching and developing less experienced team members, improving sales performance where required.

• May start date
• Part-time/full-time hours (flexible)
• £16.50per hour
• Sales-based commission structure
