Job Description
The Chislehurst Medical Partnership consists of two busy doctor's surgeries based in the heart of Chislehurst. We are looking to recruit a part-time receptionist.
The positions are permanent, part-time with a fixed shift pattern (AM/PM between 07.30 - 19.00).
Maximum 22 hours per week - Hours to be discussed at interview with candidate.
Plus 1 fixed cover shift to provide cover for sickness and holidays.
You will join an existing friendly team and provide excellent customer service. You will recognise the importance of patient services and value every patient and their needs. You will work in a team and be committed to working together with the whole practice to achieve desired outcomes.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include :
- receiving patients and visitors in person or via telephone
- dealing with all patient appointments and queries
- actively signposting patients to correct services if appropriate
- actioning daily tasks on EMIS and DOCMAN systems
- checking clinicians' rooms at the end of surgery, collecting specimens and supporting clinicians to do their role
- providing cover for colleagues during sickness and holidays
- opening and actioning post
- raising prescription queries
- anything else that is custom and practice to enable the smooth running of the Practice
Chislehurst Medical Practice is part of the newly formed Chislehurst Partnership created in July 2022 with the merger of The Woodlands Practice and Chislehurst Medical Practice. Both are high performing, well established GP practices in Chislehurst who are passionate about providing a friendly, supportive and caring medical service to our population. The Practices hope to move to a purpose-built medical centre in the future but for the time being are operating from two premises.
We have a combined patient list size of circa 25,000. We are a 10 Partner partnership with a team of Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a Nursing team. Our staff are friendly and hard-working and together we provide a high level of care to the local community. We are a well organised, progressive, forward-thinking Partnership. We are part of the Mottingham, Downham & Chislehurst (MDC) Primary Care Network and share across our practices a wide range of additional roles including, Clinical pharmacists, Physicians associates, Social Prescribers, a Mental Health Practitioner and Paramedic.
