Nursery Nurse

Job Description

The nursery nurse works as part of the Neonatal unit under the supervision of registered nurses and -:

• Participates in the delivery of care
• Contributes towards the department organisation
• Supports registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment for babies and their families

• To support Family Intergrated Care on The Neonatal Unit
• To assist and support in delivering care to infants and their carers in the transitional care and special care nurseries.
• demonstrates a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific tasks delegated by the nurse in charge and in accordance with relevant guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.
