Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking Housekeeper to join our friendly and dynamic Paediatric Surgical ward G4 SUN at University Hospital Southampton, to work 37.5 hours a week.

The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the nursing team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the ward; ensuring that our patients are comfortable in the hospital environment at all times.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The role will involve cleaning general and specialist medical equipment, so experience and knowledge of an acute hospital environment is essential for this role.

Other key tasks will include:

Ensure records of checks and daily temperatures are recorded accurately. Inform Nurse in Charge of any deviations or issues. Agree action plans and ensure action taken where necessary.

You must have good communication skills both written and verbal and be able to demonstrate your commitment to provide a high standard of work to support the busy environment on a daily basis.
