This role is responsible for Leeds and Sheffield Sub-ROCs which operates much of the railway across Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and the North East. The Operations Manager is accountable for ensuring competence management is robust and effective, is responsible for all aspects of operational safety and train service performance across their area and is a critical contact for train and freight operators. The Operations Manager oversees key elements of employee engagement and industrial relationships within the ROC. The ability to lead people during times of disruption in a calm and methodical manner to ensure safe railway operations is an essential element of the role. There is an on call commitment.
