Role
Packaging Reuse & Disposal Services Ltd are looking for a Site Chemical Operative to work within our outdoor operational site. Graduates will be considered alongside experienced personnel. There will be opportunity to assist in shift supervision of the late shift as you grow within the business and team.
The role will include management of waste stored on both sites; Acceptance of waste at the main yard, basic effluent testing and sampling, assessment of chemical waste at third party sites, dispatch operations, and other associated tasks including on site management of PRDS own production wastes.
Alongside this you will provide technical assessment of waste and advise site staff on health and safety/ handling requirements. You will also support management in delivering high quality recycled products whilst working within the site QMS guidelines.
In addition to this there will be some yard work to aid the team as a whole and therefore the ability to lift 17kg and work outside in open warehouses all year round is a necessity, along side willingness to use on site FLT’s. You will be trained on all on site tasks as part of the role to enable you to understand the business and grow within it.
Hours: 1400 – 2200pm Monday to Friday
Full training and PPE will be given to the successful applicant.
Requirements.
A degree in Chemistry or a similar related degree is essential.
Clean driving license is essential.
IT competent, Excel/ word/ outlook.
Good people and communication skills.
