General Manager - Pub
Salary: £45,000 to £48,000 DOE + Quarterly & Yearly Bonuses
Location: Canvey Island, Essex
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced high-volume food operator who has a passion for food to manage this amazing pub in Canvey Island.

The Role:
- The site is a beautiful business located in the Canvey island.
- The pub is a 2 floor, 2 bar operation, the first floor is mainly used for private functions/events.
- This pub is a great meeting point for locals, walking groups and dog walkers.
- It has a large garden with 100+ seated covers and a fully equipped outside bar, the trade peaks in the warmer summer months because of our beautiful garden.
- The trade is approx. 50/50 food to wet spilt.
Candidate:
- As a General Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service, and brand integrity.
Key responsibilities:
- To manage and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business.
- To manage the FOH team, and with the Head Chef, manage the kitchen staff.
- To oversee and manage the lunch and dinner services of up to 200 covers.
- To open and close the business as required.
- To oversee the completion of all duties involved in running the bar, floor, and kitchen.
- To control all operational costs and ensure financial budgets and targets are achieved.
- To deal with all maintenance issues immediately and to a satisfactory resolution.
- To apply all legal policies and requirements.
- To always ensure the health & safety of all guests and staff.
- You will also be able to demonstrate positively managing various customer profiles and strong leadership.
