Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with Specialist Portfolio and experience of working in an NHS hospital laboratory (11 month fixed term maternity cover position).

Our modern, progressive and well equipped laboratory is the main provider of services to NHS Grampian. The department serves a population of ~600,000 people and carries out in excess of 8 million tests per annum.

Successful candidates will be expected to participate in the Continuous Processing Shift system currently in operation which is EWTD compliant and attracts suitable remuneration.

The Department is approved by IBMS/HCPC as a training laboratory and is UKAS accredited. Participation in CPD activities is actively encouraged and funding for further postgraduate study is available.
