The Specialist Surgery Directorate have an exciting new opportunity for a band 2/3 (dependant on experience) Clinical Support Worker to join the thriving and growing inpatients teams.
The Specialist Surgery Directorate comprises of the Blenheim Head and Neck ward, based at the Churchill Hospital, Ward 6A, Vascular and The Specialist Surgery Inpatients Ward both at the John Radcliffe Hospital. We provide care to a diverse group of patients undergoing surgery.
As a clinical support worker, you will be expected to provide hands on care and support to patients on the ward, along with supporting clinicians with their patient workloads. You will be responsible in delivering clinical care delegated by a registered nurse and professionally contributing to the evaluation of person-centred care plans.
The successful applicant will be working in collaboration with registered general nurses to support this busy & diverse team. Applicants should be flexible, well organised with a professional friendly manner & have excellent communication skills. They should be able to use their own judgement to resolve issues, and have a tactful, sensitive approach to dealing with difficult situations. They should be able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach to work, with a willingness to suggest ideas for improvements. Shift work will include nights and weekends.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete the nationally recognised Care Certificate, and have many more opportunities to develop skills to progress in your career.
