Are you looking for work that is truly fulfilling? Do you want a job where your influence will continue long after your shift ends? Could you support adults with a learning disability to live more independently?
You will be working as a Support Worker at our registered care flats in Great Holm, Milton Keynes. You will be supporting people with learning disabilities and autism and we currently have full and part time positions.
This MacIntyre service is across 16 flats on one site. Each flat supports between one and four residents. You will be working as part of a team making sure the people we support live as independently as possible.
With an ageing population there is now an emphasis on health, so some knowledge on health conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s or Epilepsy is helpful but not essential. What is important is that you can help them get the right support when needed and advocate on their behalf.
There is forever a birthday party or other social events happening, which you would occasionally be required to organise and attend. You will take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
We will provide you will full training and with day-to-day help and advice from your frontline manager and senior support workers. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive difference to someone’s life, where no two days are the same!
