A market leader - based in Nottinghamshire (possibility of 2+ remote)
My client is a market leader in the manufacturing components distribution area. My client is a blue-chip organisation, turning over in excess of £800m per annum and is rapidly expanding their business operation across the UK. They regular ship finished components and raw materials into Europe and RoW from the UK.
As a Logistics Supervisor you will report into the Head of Logistics on a daily basis in the Nottingham office. Your role will encompass the following areas of responsibility:

Liaising with a host of freight partners to ship via ExWorks, DAP, FCA & DDP
- Commercial awareness to reduce carriage costs via on-going negotiation of shipping rates
- Import & Export of all goods from the Far East to ship to UK, EU & Rest of World.
- Completion of all import & export paperwork
- Liaison with HMRC regarding import clearances, VAT & Duties
- Invoicing of freight & order chargers alongside escalations.
- Customer Service and liaison with all carrier, freight forwarder, customers & production.
- Actively reducing overall delivery costs & timing - where possible.
The successful Logistics Supervisor will be commutable Nottingham and have the following attributes:

A 2+ year background in logistics, transport, import, export, shipping or customs
- Experience managing process in a large logistics networks.
- Customs experience would be advantageous.
- Commutable to Nottingham
