Rodborough has a strong reading culture and we are looking for someone to play a key role in its development across the school’s curriculum, inside and outside of lessons.
The Librarian is responsible for the daily operation of the Library. The role will require the careful deployment of resources and the cultivation of a friendly, supportive atmosphere to ensure that students have a calm and productive space in which to study and read. The role will also offer the opportunity to have a direct impact on student learning through supporting teachers within lessons through our KS3 reading lessons and star reader programme and also through developing and celebrating extra-curricular activities and events that promote a lifelong love of reading.
The successful candidate should have good interpersonal skills, be a strong communicator, be innovative and be able to work as part of a successful team.
Non-teaching staff are required to take their own holidays during the school holiday periods.
The salary range for this post at Grade WA4-10-16 £20,970-£24,514 (Full Time Equivalent) depending on qualifications and experience. We offer full training and defined career/pay progression.
