MARKETING ASSISTANT
This role works across three small businesses (with the same ownership), PhotoBomb, Box Balloons and Licktuk. There are elements that cross-promote with each other.
Events company providing photo booths, prop hire and more for weddings and corporate events across the North of England and beyond.
Box Balloons
E-commerce business selling inflated helium balloons in a box, delivered next day to anywhere in the UK.LickTuk
Our miniaturised event ice cream van with soft-service ice cream and toppings for weddings and corporate activations.
The overall mission of this role is to drive enquiries, sales and brand awareness across our three brands. It’s a fun role and we’re looking for someone who can excel with the following:
1. Digital marketing
2. Social media
3. Email marketing
4. Website management
5. Outreach
A summary what each of these includes is below:
Digital Marketing:
- Develop a strategy and implement paid ad campaigns for our brands across Meta andGoogle, sometimes working with our PPC agency to deliver this.
- Monitor ad performance and impact and make appropriate changes to content and targeting to get the most out of our ad spend each month.
- Develop organic reach across our websites with improvements to SEO, which will work hand-in-hand with content management.
Social Media:
- Manage our Social Media channels and develop a strategy to create and publish regular, thought-out, high quality content to promote our businesses and grow our audiences.
- For Box Balloons in particular, explore opportunities to sell our products via social media and generate a new revenue stream.
- Proactively engage with popular groups for weddings etc on social media to promote PhotoBomb and Licktuk.
Email marketing:
- Grow/develop mailing lists for all of our brands.
- Work on a strategy for regular, high-quality mailouts for all of our brands that promote what we’re doing and generate more leads/sales.
- For Box Balloons, improve how we recover abandoned checkouts and encourage customers to come back for more purchases in future.
Website:
- Maintain and improve content for PhotoBomb and Lucktuk on Squarespace to promote our services, keep content fresh and generate more leads for weddings and events.
- Develop a strategy to expand into more corporate work and create enticing web content that promotes what we can do for brand activations.
- Organise photo shoots so we have our own high-quality images and videos to use across all of our brands and websites.
- With Box Balloons, update the site on Shopify throughout the year to keep the content fresh and react to large holidays/events/seasons.
Outreach:
- For Box Balloons, develop a strategy and manage the influencer outreach to ensure we pick the right people to work with and get great results from their content.
- For PhotoBomb and Licktuk, work with venues to create strong relationships that may lead to us being recommended suppliers.
- Select wedding fairs that we can attend to reach more of the right customers and showcase our products with PhotoBomb flair.
Requirements for the role:
We are happy to consider all applicants with demonstrable experience or knowledge in marketing roles or similar, a brilliant self-starter attitude is more important us. Here’s what we’d like as a minimum:
- Two years experience in marketing roles, but happy to consider graduates or strong portfolios and work experience.
- Experience with digital marketing, managing campaigns and ad spend on Google and Meta.
- Understanding of SEO and how to implement effective changes.
- Demonstrable work managing social channels and growing audiences through planned content and regular posting.
- Experience with mailing list services and creating brilliantly designed campaigns on a regular basis.
Plus points:
- Experience/understanding of e-commerce businesses
- Ability to use Adobe PhotoShop
- Experience with SquareSpace
- Experience with Shopify
