OVERVIEW
We are an elite group of groomers based in Fremont, CA. What makes us different is we are a rental grooming salon. Meaning, each groomer is independently operated, meaning everyone is in business for themselves. We prioritize a calm, clean environment so that our dog clients can have the most enjoyable grooming experience possible. We are a group of extremely hard working and detail oriented groomers and hold high standards for our guests and employees.

GROOMING ASSISTANT JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Provide Impeccable prep work: dogs are clean and there are no tangles on prepped dogs. Prep work is completed in a timely manner and delivered to their respective groomer for final haircuts and styling.
- Receive Iv San Bernard Pet Aesthetician Certificate within 6 months of hire. Values continuing education and is enthusiastic about learning new techniques all they can about the pet business industry.
- Learn & ensure safe and proper handling of dogs and cats - all pets are handled in a safe and balanced manner
- Helps with the day to day tasks of running a small business (i.e. data entry, cleaning, prepping pets, opening and closing, oranizing, brand familiarity, restocking, maintaining friendly client interactions, rebooking, checking in/out customers, helping other when needed.
- Provide impeccable communication with both customer, groomers, and shop owner
- Able to complete daily tasks
- Assist with creating organizations systems (i.e. spread sheets, general book keeping) become familiar with salon services.

BATHER JOB DESCRIPTION
Grooming Assistants are expected to assist with the prepping of clients and maintaining the bathing room area and other shared spaces
- Time management - seeing the day as a whole and assisting the shop owner/groomer accordingly
- Bathing Dogs- bathing with attention to detail every time a dog comes over
- Prepping Dogs- brushing, combing, clipping nails, pads, and sanitary trims
- Learning excellent communication: with groomers (like if another groomers dog has pooped in a kennel, or if a kennel is too hot, or if something needs repair, receiving pets from clients, managing appointments
- Keeping track of inventory in the lobby and bathing room- if we are low on shampoo, or anything else, make sure to write it on the board
- Cleaning tubs.
- Keeping bathing area clean and organized
- Maintaining pets safe at all times
- Vacuum bathing room/Vacuum Filters
- Clean Kennels.
- Take trash out.
JOB DESCRIPTION
ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
Grooming assistants are expected to assist the shop owner with everyday tasks including cleaning, clerical, social media
- Oversee the schedule: handle appointment requests, ask clients to rebook at check out/get clients on a recurring schedule, insure that the wait list is up to date
- Open and set up the shop
- Keep the front lobby stocked and clean
- Check dogs in & out
- Update WDG Daily Log
- Keep the flow of the day by helping the team as needed (from drying dogs to cleaning up accidents & vacuuming)
- Help WDG evolve by creating systems and processes
- Assist with walk in client services such as ear cleaning, nail trimming, etc.
- Wash, fold and put away all laundry
- Cleaning the lobby daily
- Maintain washer and dryer in good working condition
- Check email often for new client questions and requests
- Answer the phone when possible
- Turn off all equipment at the end of the day
- Ensure that all doors are locked and camera systems are recording
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6mos-1 year of bathing/grooming or dog training experience
- Must be atleast 18 years of age
- Ability to handle all breeds and sizes
- Work in standing position for long periods of time
- Ocassionally work with loud pets and machinery
- Reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift 50lbs. Ability to ask for help and help others if needed.
- Day Shift & Work Authorization
- Part & Full time positions available. Full time preferred
An ideal candidate would be someone with impeccable problem solving skills, as well as a high level of reading and writing. A desire to help clean, organize, and always learn new things. They must be timely as salons run by appointments. Assistants are team players & should be willing to help others when needed. Should be able to learn new systems of booking software and pay systems quickly and correcty. But above all must be able to multi task and finish tasks all the way through. Must be impartial to balanced training. Liz is one of the Bay Areas most highly rated groomers and is highly trusted by the community as well as law enforcement as youll often see police K9’s and other high level working breeds visiting the salon. As such needs an equally hard working assistant with a desire to see the business flourish.
