DIRECT SALES MANAGER
Malvern International is an education group which delivers a range of English language and university pathway programmes. Malvern International comprises three language schools operating all year round, based in London, Brighton and Manchester; junior summer courses and a university pathway programme based at the University of East London.

Malvern International are experiencing a period of rapid growth and therefore a restructuration and expansion of the sales division. For this reason, we are looking to bring onboard a highly motivated Direct Sales Manager.
JOB PURPOSE
The Direct Sales Manager is accountable to the Head of Direct Sales. As part of this role, you will be responsible for liaising with students from all over the world to study English language in our language centres located in London, Manchester and Brighton. You will be responsible for building and the overall leadership of the sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES
Sales processes
- Be responsible for providing excellent experience and accurate information in the pre-arrival stage of communication with potential students: replying to all email, telephone, WhatsApp, chat and social media enquiries in a timely manner;
- Strive to meet students’ needs and find solutions to any potential issues; overcome barriers
- Daily follow-up of the enquiries, adding value to emails and messages
Leadership
- Keep building a team of motivated and passionate sales representatives - recruit, hire, coach and mentor
- Oversee and lead the Sales Officers in each centre for direct and walk-in sales
- Analyse all the the communication received from potential students and make note of any issues that may be impacting the sales processes, then analyse within the team and implement solutions
- Set weekly and monthly goals based on the team's performance to date
- Generate reports tracking how well each individual achieves the seasonal targets
- Ensure that any issues of under-performance are addressed in a timely way in line with Malvern International procedures
Building systems on Hubspot software
- Regularly train and improve the knowledge of the Hubspot software
- Assist the Head of Sales in setting up systems and processes that aim to improve the customer service and sales, e.g. implement automations, integrate other platforms, build reports, customise properties and workflows
- Regularly communicate with Hubspot customer service
- Promote and train HubSpot usage in your teams
Other
- Analyse and report on the effectiveness of the website for being customer and sales friendly;
- Coordinate with marketing on lead generation
- Undertake any other duties as required
- Cover for other sales managers if needed
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience, skills and knowledge required to undertake this role:
Essential:
· Must have the right to live and work in the UK
· Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager
· Technology savvy and willing to learn
· Enjoys problem solving, open-minded
· Committed to continuous education through workshops and courses
· Experience in mentoring, coaching and people management skills
· Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly, helpful and efficient manner and ability to remain calm in busy times
Desired:
· A first degree or equivalent experience.
· Experience of working collaboratively with people of various nationalities
· Experience with Hubspot software
