Agility is working on an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a fast-growing energy company to contribute to the company’s business objectives by assisting with all aspects of the daily accounting for sales and purchase ledger and finance administration across the business.
This opportunity is working for a lead owner and manager of essential energy infrastructure assets, the purpose of the company is to accelerate the use of smarter energy for all.
The opportunity is within the Finance department and you will contribute effectively to the Groups Finance Team. This is a temporary fixed-term 12-month contract, working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday on a hybrid basis working from home, with travel to the Manchester and/or Wigan offices as and when required. The salary is to be discussed with the successful candidate circa £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience & qualifications.
What you will be doing:
- Purchase Ledger Invoice Processing
- Liaising with budget holders across multiple companies
- Supplier query investigation and resolution
- Payment processing
- Mid-month, month end and ad hoc
- Sales ledger cash allocation
- Resolution of unallocated cash
- Credit control and debt chasing
- Customer query investigation and resolution
- Production of weekly aged debt reports
- Assisting with month End management accounts preparation and reporting
- Bank reconciliation across multiple companies
- Payment practices reporting
- Assistant with VAT return reconciliations
About you:
- AAT qualified or equivalent, and ideally be Part CIMA qualified
- Minimum 2 ears experience of financial processing within a medium sized business.
- Be computer literate with high level of Excel proficiency
- Ideally have experience/knowledge of SAP Business One and Business Central
- Experience working within, or knowledge of the energy industry
- High attention to detail and numeric aptitude.
