Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for motivated and enthusiastic midwives to join our Maternity Services Team. This is an exciting time to join the Trust as we work towards the national vision informed by the Maternity Services Review: Better Births (2016) and implementation of the Ockendon Independent Maternity Review - immediate and essential actions.
There are opportunities for experienced Band 5 and 6 Midwives to join the Jessop Wing Midwifery Team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals working across the community and hospital setting, aspiring to the long term ambition to deliver Continuity of Care to mothers and babies within Sheffield .

Induction is supported by a team of Clinical Midwifery Educators and your smooth transition to the department will be further enhanced by an established team of Professional Midwifery Advocates.
The Directorate of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology is based at the Jessop Wing which is linked to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and is a maternity unit working towards Unicef Baby Friendly Accreditation. The maternity unit has approximately 6000 births per year and is a Regional Tertiary Maternity Service with 44 Level 3 Neonatal Unit cots. A Tertiary Gynae-Oncology service and Gynaecology Service, which includes an Assisted Conception Unit, complete the services within the Directorate.
