Behind Counter Terrorism Policing’s (CTP) critical work is our Customer Service Centre (CSC). Every day, skilled tech experts ensure that officers have the IT to perform their vital roles. As a Senior Service Desk Analyst, you’ll support the service desk, helping it run smoothly. Make your expertise count – help protect the UK.
At this level, you’ll be a key figure in our CSC team, supporting IT users nationwide. An escalation point for issues, you’ll tackle major incidents, SLA breaches, queries and any customer concerns. You’ll also organise the workload of Service Desk Analysts and give them advice and guidance. With your experience and expert perspective, you’ll coach and mentor more junior colleagues.
If you’re keen for more responsibility, this is a great way to build your skills. Representing the CSC, you’ll drive standards, produce reports for senior managers and attend stakeholder forums including User Groups.
Ideally, you’ll be familiar with ITIL best practice in Incident, Service Request, Change and Problem Management. Skilled, calm and professional, you’ll win the trust of customers and Analysts with your clear and assured communication.
Besides the rewarding nature of the job itself, a competitive salary and a Civil Service pension, you'll also benefit from excellent career and professional development.
