Bids and Tenders Manager - REMOTE - Work from home

We are now looking to expand our energetic, results-driven Bid Team and bring on an experienced Bid Manager. The successful applicant will be experienced in end-to-end Bid Management for apprenticeship tenders and have a collaborative approach, working in partnership with the wider Bid Team to share best practice and deliver results.

Summary of Role of the Bid Manager
To support the Head of Bids in ensuring all business development activity meets the Group’s business objectives for growth. To engage in business development activity with the objective of delivering tangible results for the business by ensuring that high-quality competitive proposals are delivered.
Brief summary of principle accountabilities

End-to-end bid management for apprenticeship tenders.

Project manage contributions from a variety of stakeholders in the business such as Commercial, Marketing, People & Talent, Finance and Operational Leads throughout bid process.

Work with various internal teams to understand customer requirements and support as appropriate.

Understand our products, services and competitive landscape ensuring the solution and value adds are clearly articulated in the written proposals.

Work with key stakeholders to develop strategies for responding to client win themes and for identifying clear differentiators and USP's.

Develop a bid plan and identify necessary requirements for input form stakeholders.

Ensure that senior stakeholder approval authorities are obtained in a timely manner.

Think creatively and analytically to produce winning bids.

Challenge the norm through positive ideas to improve productivity.

Develop and maintain excellent insight into market developments and opportunities, through a variety of traditional and digital channels.

Engage with key commissioners, stakeholders, networks and partners to maintain market awareness and raise Babington Group’s profile.

Contribute and maintain the bid and proposal pipeline.

Qualifications

Grade A-C GCSE in English and maths or equivalent (E)

English Literature degree qualified or equivalent (E)

APMP Qualification, or willingness to obtain this (D)
Skills and experience

Proven experience in working on complex bids in the public and private sector (E)
- Excellent track record of winning business through bid and proposal writing and management (E)

Creative - Ability to articulate bid requirements to bid teams and establish win themes (E)

Ability to assimilate sales strategies and offerings to market (E)
