Colonel Harland Sanders opened the first KFC in Corbin, Kentucky in 1938. He started with one store, 11 herbs and spices, and an idea. From there our incredible brand and product grew to what it is today.


KFC first came to the UK in 1965 with our first restaurant in Preston, Lancashire. Today we are a billion-pound business with over 900 restaurants run by our 28,000 restaurant team members. As a Delivery Operations Coach, you will be the “wingman” or woman to Area Coaches (AC) and Senior Operators from across the UK & Ireland. What’s better than a KFC? Well… a KFC straight to your door! Your role plays an integral part in supporting the execution and optimisation of our delivery sales channel across all our restaurants.


Project Manager


You’ll team up with all three delivery aggregator partners and our cross-functional teams at KFC HQ to bring our customers chicken fix right to their front door! You’ll scope, support, and implement exciting projects that help make it easy for our restaurant teams to provide a fast and incredible experience for our chicken fans across the UK&I.


Training Provider


As the face of KFC delivery across the business, you’ll partner with our franchisees and training teams to design and deliver training material that unlocks consistently great restaurant performance. You’ll work in tandem with our aggregator account teams and AC’s to elevate the capability of our teams, helping them to understand how to maximise sales opportunities and achieve strong operational KPIs.


Brand Ambassador


You’ll be a primary point of contact for our 3rd party suppliers, including the day-to-day relationship management with delivery aggregators. You’ll represent the KFC brand when supporting our franchise partners, including immersing yourself in all things chicken and chips when out and about with our restaurant teams. You’ll be in regular contact with operators across our estate, seeking continuous feedback and insight on how we can keep evolving our delivery business. Coaching will come naturally to you, as you embrace every opportunity to share feedback on both technical process and behaviour performance.


Comms & Engagement


You will be involved in regular meetings with head office teams, franchisees, and suppliers. You’ll need to understand data and insight on business performance, to recognize and evaluate progress against strategic goals. Confident at presenting? You’ll have opportunities to engage key stakeholders with updates on your role in the business plan too!


Recognition & Culture


Living and breathing the KFC culture and the colonels values. You’ll actively recognise the teams in restaurants and head office environments. Encourage and supporting our restaurants and ACs, you’ll highlight examples of role model performance, whilst challenging our teams to maintain a recognition culture with their 3rd party suppliers as well. You’ll teach and build the knowledge of why we recognise and why it is so important to KFC and the Colonel.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of both project and stakeholder management, ideally within a retail or hospitality environment. Experience of operations is desired. Demonstrable success when it comes to understanding and storytelling with data. The ability to influence at peer and senior level and strong problem-solving skills.
