We are looking for a Research Scientist to join the Nanopore Research Team. This exciting and challenging role will be responsible for accelerating our efforts to improve the performance of our baseline nanopores and will also contribute to the development of novel biological nanopores for a growing range of applications.
The Details...
You will primarily be responsible for the electrophysiological characterisation of nanopores and their subsequent data analysis. You will have the opportunity to optimise the design of a nanopore target along with its expression and purification.
What We're Looking For...
You will be in possession of a BSc in physics, biophysics, biochemistry, biology, chemistry or equivalent. Experience of using the linux operating system, bash scripting, python-based data analysis and R is highly desirable. Furthermore, knowledge of protein structure, membrane proteins and their expression and purification would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will need to work meticulously to a high standard and be able to perform well under pressure to meet deadlines in a demanding and fast paced environment.
