About the role:
These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of Mental Health issues, on a 2:1 basis and you will be required to have experience working in a similar role.
Duties include:
- You will be required to ensure that children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care possible and to assist them reaching their fullest potential.
- To ensure children's safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times
- To provide high standard help, care and support
- To enable clients, families or children and young people (as appropriate) to enjoy a range of food and support them to buy their food from various places including markets/ super markets or specialist shops
The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:
- Challenging & aggressive behaviour
- Learning disabilities
- Autistic Spectrum Condition
- ADHD
- Personality Disorder
- Self-Injury
- M.H diagnosis
- Victims of abuse
- Inappropriate behaviours
Criteria for these roles are:
- Child and Adult DBS - on the update service
- Previous Experience in a similar role
- NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (desirable not essential)
- References covering the last 3 years
