Our client who is based in the education sector is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their team in London. This role is perfect for a graduate who is looking to take their first step in the legal world. WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role, you will work closely with Senior members to ensure that the company is protected and compliant. A large part of the role will help provide advice and support when tackling legal complaints and safeguarding.
- Write and update reports for senior management
- Present findings and reports
- See cases through from start to finish
- Continually review and improve policies and actions to prevent any avoidable complaints
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory compliance related to the business
- Assess the effect of policies or actions in place on statutory or legal requirements and advise on steps that must be taken to avoid negative consequences
WHO YOU ARE
This role is suitable for someone who is a natural problem solver with acute attention to detail. You must be able to complete independent work while working towards team goals.
- A degree in law is essential (2:1 is a minimum requirement)
- Legal admin experience is an essential requirement
- Experience in complaints handling, litigation, or data protection is a bonus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to quickly and accurately receive and report information and documentation
