We are looking to recruit the following personnel:
Warehouse Operative
Location: Gateshead
Salary: Competitive
THE ROLE: The Warehouse Operative will be expected to pick orders for customers and company vehicles as well as load and unload company, customer and supplier vehicles.
CANDIDATE: Due to the extremely fast paced environment the successful candidate needs to be willing to work well under pressure and have recent experience of driving a forklift truck with a current license. They must also be reliable with good organisational skills and be comfortable assisting customers. They also need to have the right attitude, being willing to help and go that extra mile. The successful candidate would ideally have experience of working in a builders merchants. However, having good product knowledge on a range of building materials and experience of working in a warehouse/yard environment would be an advantage.
THE PACKAGE: We offer a competitive salary and benefits which include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual PRP Bonus, option to buy or sell holidays and life insurance among others. The normal working week will be Monday to Friday.
THE COMPANY: James Burrell Ltd is an independent builders merchant which was established in 1877. We are a leading distributor of building materials, civils products, insulation and timber. We currently have 11 branches servicing our trading area of Northumberland down to South Yorkshire.
