We have 4 Manual Labourer positions available working for our client within the Cabinet Office. This is a 6 month temporary assignment starting in May 2023 with a possibility of extension, down to the client's own discretion
Hours: Part time (Wed-Thurs 8am - 4pm)
Salary: £11.29 per hour
Location: Full time in the office, Office location is based in York (YO10)
About the role:
UKSV will be undergoing a lengthy process of revamping their library, this will involve moving a large amount of paper files for shredding. The tasks to be undertaken require a large amount of manual handling - working at height, lifting weight, bending, twisting, pushing heavy loaded trolleys. This role will also require the use of a computer to accurately record the movement of each paper file.

Skills required for the role:

Preferably someone with previous experience of manual labour or has completed a Manual Handling/Health & Safety course

Good IT skills (Microsoft packages or Google Suite)

Ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality

Comfortable with the physical demands of a role such as lifting and standing for long periods
