Marathon Belting Ltd are a specialist manufacturer of heavy industrial weaving which include conveyor belts for the industrial textile industry. We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Fitter to support the business operation. (Part qualified will be considered)
Working within a small engineering team, you must promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.
Ideally you will have a background of working in a similar industry,(although not necessary) maintaining textile-related machines and facilitating general factory maintenance.
Duties to include:
- Setup, repair and maintain equipment and schedule preventative maintenance, including calibration testing
- Maintain, improve and develop product test equipment. This includes participating in various test operations when required
- Refurbishment of various types of gearboxes
- Fabrication, machining and welding skills
- Maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- The Maintenance Engineer should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment
- Ability to hit targets and self-manage their workload
- Ability to fault finding and diagnose problems
- Ability to use and record data to assist in future decision making and development of maintenance schedules
- Some knowledge of electrical control circuits is an advantage
- Experience of working on a range of complex PLC controlled equipment
- Be able to read Engineering / technical drawings.
