We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network & Security Engineer to join our team in the UK!
Please note: Must be able to demonstrate the right to work in the UK and have been a UK resident for the past 5 years to gain CTC clearance.

What to expect:
- Working as part of our international team of 30 engineers
- Proactively and reactively manage the Network and Security devices, act on alarms from our network management systems, act on incidents reported by our customer
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyse incidents and changes, making suggestions to fix and implement the solution
- Test and deploy software upgrades and security patches
- You will be responsible for tests, debugs, and analysing performance, and documenting infrastructure components
- Ability to manage the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Cisco environment, including LAN, WAN and big focus on Wireless Environments
- Ability to coordinate with networking vendors to ensure appropriate platform integration and performance
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and make recommendations on new technologies and products for enhancement of the network
- You will be a Subject Matter Expert for anything related to Wireless (Cisco/Fortinet)
- Responsible for assisting in guiding, training, instructing and assisting others at peer and lower levels on technical issues and products
- Proactively test and upgrade software on various devices
- Build strong relationships and interact regularly with multiple teams, including Helpdesk, Customer, and Service Delivery Managers
- Ability to provide technical advice and designs for customer network migrations, and improve customer security systems
- Propose improvements for our network management tools and configuration
- You will be responsible for responding to emergency situations and can perform effective troubleshooting during productions outages
- Monitor and analyse network, and provide results on a regular basis
- On-call/stand by rota is a requirement once initial training has been complete and signed off
What we expect from you:
- Hands on experience to work in an ITIL structured organisation dealing with Incident / Change / Problem management
- Strong working experience both deploying and managing large and complex majorly Cisco (Routing & SDWAN / Catalyst & Nexus Switching / Cisco-Fortinet Wireless / ASA Firewall, PRIME, ISE) LAN, WAN, Wireless Environments
- Experience in Networking Field with Cisco Vendor products, including technical certifications (at least one CCNP or CCIE badge is required)
- Cisco CCIE Routing & Switching
- Cisco CCIE Wireless
- Cisco CCNP R&S / Sec / Wireless
- Cisco CCIE Security
- Fortinet NSE 6 or Higher
- PaloAlto Certified
- F5 Certified Solution Expert
- Meraki Certified Meraki Network Operator
- Cisco ACI
- You’ll have end to end security in mind, configuring network and security devices, and quality of service – autonomous, self-driven, and experienced
- You’ll be an expert in troubleshooting using traffic analysers, NetFlow collectors and capacity management tools. Implementing and supporting OSPF, BGP, VRRP and other routing protocols
- Strong skills in documentation (MS Word) and drawing (MS Visio) updates
- We are looking for someone with strong relationship building skills with the ability to participate in team and customer meetings
- Incident Report Document and Capacity Management Report writing
- Awareness ITIL V3 framework
- English speaking and writing skills (additional languages are beneficial)
- Excellent communication skills, team working, confident and able to work on own initiative
Please note: You will be required to work during European business hours from Monday to Friday, however depending on the situation you might need to stretch this on certain occasions
