We are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join our Business Partnering team within our Finance Department. In this role you will work alongside and support the existing Assistant Account to help ensure that a first class management accounting and business partnering service is provided to a range of areas within Coventry University. You will work closely with senior operational managers, providing ad-hoc financial support with preparation of costings and management accounts.
You will be responsible for preparing and delivering period-end data and accurate management accounts and information. You will assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide to budget holders with management and support guidance.
Working with the business and relevant teams, you will contribute to the ongoing development of processes and the introduction of standardised reporting.
Key Skills and Experience
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience
- Experience in Data Analysis, costing and forecasting
- Experience of accounts and budget preparation
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Data Analysis tools
- Works to deliver to agreed targets and seeks to make improvements
