Job Description

Job Description
Make your degree stand out with an experience like no other.

Have you got a passion for Marketing and are looking for an internship with a top employer? Join Sage as a Marketing Intern and gain practical, valuable skills from a global, FTSE 100 company and unleash your potential.

Sage is rapidly evolving from a product centric business to a brand led, customer centric, digital first brand focused on Human-to-Human Marketing.

We use data & insight combined with relevant content to drive commercial and brand equity growth. We are focused on annual commercial delivery and long-term innovation.
As a Marketing Intern you will join our high performing Marketing Team on three four-month rotations in our Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Integrated Campaign Teams.

As well as on the job learning, you’ll benefit from five personal development days which you can use to boost your skills and industry knowledge. We also encourage all our colleagues to make an impact in their local communities, by giving them five fully paid days per year to volunteer, fundraise or do other charitable work through Sage Foundation.

What will you gain exposure to?
Product Marketing at Sage is all about deeply understanding: the needs and feelings of customers, the size, shape, and trends in the market; and what competitors are up to. Product Marketing then use this to design and build (with input from other teams across Sage): ambitious Growth Plans, compelling and differentiated Customer Value Propositions; and then high-impact, disruptive and creative Go-To-Markets

In Performance marketing the team are responsible for the effective planning, development, delivery and optimisation of end-to-end digital campaigns that increase engagement and demand to drive new customer growth. Through highly relevant and engaging digital programs, the Campaign Team drive multi-media acquisition and management across display, programmatic, social and search to drive awareness and conversion across the marketing funnel.

The Integrated Campaigns Team create integrated campaigns for Sage’s products and Regional Markets, based on Marketing Strategy and Product Marketing inputs such as Behavioural and Attitudinal Customer Segmentation, Econometrics, Product and Regional Growth Plans, Value Proposition Calendars and Go To Market Blueprints. The creation of integrated campaigns includes all advertising assets across the entire funnel as well as all other assets (landing pages, content, etc.) across all relevant marketing GTM motions (eCommerce/scaled acquisition, Partner, ABM).

Complete an Internship at Sage and you could be part of our next generation, with our Interns not only benefiting from exclusive early access to our graduate roles, but also the many excellent benefits we offer.

Key Responsibilities
Entry Requirements:

Useful skills and experience:
  • High-energy individual with a can-do approach

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Team Player

  • Organised, proactive and can work to deadlines

  • Numerically strong with an attention to detail

  • To thrive in this role, you will likely be studying Marketing as part of your degree and be looking for a future career in this area. But we’re committed to nurturing the talent at our fingertips, so whatever their qualifications or background, don’t let that hold you back from applying. You can belong at Sage, just as you are.

    Our Intern recruitment process:
Apply online with your CV and complete our screening process. If our Early Careers team believes you might be a match, you’ll be asked to complete a video interview (you’ll receive a link to complete a video interview within 1 day of applying).

If successful, you’ll join a shortlist of candidates for the assessment centre. This is a full-day virtual event which will be held between April-June. It’s a great opportunity for you to let your talents shine and showcase your skills! It’s a mixture of team and individual activities, so you can show us what you’re made of. From there, we will consider you for an internship position. If you require any additional support or special accommodations during your video interview or at the Assessment Centre stage, please email [email protected]

This role will commence on 1st August 2023 or 4th September 2023 and will last for 12 months. Good luck!
