Would you like to help protect and enhance our water environment?
As an Environment Planning Officer, you’ll review and interpret data and evidence, presenting your findings to colleagues and managers to help influence prioritisation of activities across the area. You’ll help to update and maintain our environmental data, working with a variety of teams to ensure the data is accurate and reliable for the many teams who use it. You’ll respond to freedom of information requests and help to manage our team inbox.
We are a multidisciplinary team and depending on your skills, interests, and team priorities, you can get involved in and contribute to a variety of activities, including:
- Water quality planning
- Catchment planning
- Commissioning our water monitoring programme
- Natural Capital
We actively encourage learning and development; these roles are an opportunity to develop new skills in catchment planning and water quality.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
