Nottingham School of Art and Design - Technician Bank Staff in Creative Arts & Technology

£25,766 - £28,901 p.a

Nottingham School of Art & Design are increasing their pool of technical bank staff to increase flexibility to the School, and particularly to provide additional support to students to work at short notice.

A Technician is required to provide technical support within the School of Art and Design’s Creative Arts & Technology Workshops

A good general knowledge of digital design and communication is essential and a high level of skill using the Adobe Creative Suite is required .

You will work under the direction of the School Technical Managers in demonstrating equipment and techniques to students, provide technical support and guidance to staff and students on undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes in the School Workshops and Studios.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate ideas of a complex or technical nature to students effectively, using a variety of methods and have a detailed knowledge of techniques and equipment through teaching, and/or industry experience.

Working with related machinery, techniques and processes.

You will be educated to NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Level 3, 2 A Levels, ONC/OND or equivalent in a relevant subject area. An in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety regulations are required.
