CK Meats is a world-class pork producer based in Eye, near Diss. We are recruiting people to join our growing business.
Following an internal promotion, we are recruiting a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to support our growing technical department.
In this technical role, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing products against specifications through all stages of production. You will ensure all products conform to quality standards and are to our customers’ specifications.
Duties in this role:
Perform a wide range of QA activities and functions throughout the manufacturing process, and in different areas of the factory, including the routine inspection and verification of products according to procedure, against specification and to quality standards. This will include internal audits, organoleptic testing and swabbing
Conduct product inspections off-site as and when required
Accurately record data relating to product conformity in a timely manner
General administrative tasks for the department including filing and archiving records
Highlight to management any issue that could compromise food safety, quality or legality
Report any health and safety hazards within working areas
Ensure damaged equipment is not used and any defects are reported to engineers immediately
Fully cooperate with site management and the workforce
A flexible approach to work in order to meet changing business requirements
Carry out all duties as deemed necessary by managerial or supervisory staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the factory
Compliance with health and safety rules at all times
Compliance with company policies, practices and standard operating procedures
Our ideal candidate:
Previous experience in a QA role is essential
Experience working within a fast-moving food manufacturing environment
A good level of written and spoken English
Excellent attention to detail and accurate data-recording skills
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work using initiative
Flexible and adaptable
Basic IT skills
What we can offer you:
Salary up to £28,922.40
28 days holiday
05:00 to 15:00, 45 per week, Monday to Friday
