About Us

The Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box. We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people at the Millennium Dome.

We were pioneers in electronic music and have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing. As a business we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team.

We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride. Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office. Following the unrivalled success of our flagship location at Borough Road, The Ministry Shepherds Bush will open in early 2024.

Across 115,000 sqft (over twice the size of SE1), The Ministry will include a Bakery, a bar and deli, an event space for over 300 people, a 150 seat rooftop restaurant, a private members gym and four discipline specific fitness studios, a juice bar AND workspace for over 2,000 people. The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Account Manager, reporting to the Sales Director, to join our dedicated and talented sales team on a high growth journey at an exciting time for the brand.

You will be generating sales leads, communicating with brokers and agents, meeting potential and current clients, leading stand-out tours, following up, updating our CRM system, negotiating, sending out proposals and most importantly, closing deals and managing client accounts. You will also build your own network of sales leads through existing relationships, traditional and digital marketing channels.

You will also be expected to contribute to our process of continual product development and improvement, enhancing customer experience and incentivising renewals. You will be obsessive about the detail in commercial negotiations, and able to think laterally about deal structures that will benefit both our company and our customers.

You will also lead on financial reporting and target setting. You will own the end-to-end sales process for new potential members. Alongside this you will be involved in building and maintaining strong relationships with brokerage firms/agencies.

New Business development including self-sourcing new leads will be a key aspect of this role, while you proactively market the new offering, gaining traction across social media sites such as LinkedIn and attending internal and external events.

You will be helping members to space plan for any bespoke work, liaising with our facilities and project management team. Being highly organised, building strategies way ahead of time for filling vacant space and engaging in renewal discussions early to secure member retention.

The position demands confidence, proactivity and a passionate/energetic approach to sales. You’ll be given autonomy to be innovative in your sales approach and the opportunity to grow and develop as we scale and grow our member base. You should love working in the office.

You will be based on site at The Ministry Shepherds Bush or The Ministry Borough Road. You will be obsessive about the detail in commercial negotiations, and able to think laterally about deal structures that will benefit both our company and our customers.
