As a specialised health and social care provider, people are at the heart of everything we do. Following sustained success throughout the Bramley Group, we are going through an exciting period of growth and are now getting ready to open a brand new care home in July 2023.
The home will focus on supporting 23 males with neuro degenerative conditions, mental health diagnosis, acquired brain injury presentations and varying degrees of physical disabilities.
As such, we are looking to recruit a Clinical Lead, to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As Clinical Lead, you will be a key member of the leadership team at Napier Lodge. You will oversee the clinical care and operations of the home. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care, and that the home meets all relevant regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong commitment to person-centred care, effective leadership and excellent communication skills.
Further key responsibilities of the Clinical Lead role include
- To support in managing the day-to-day running of the services and coordinating its operations, deputise for the registered manager in their absence
- Train, develop and manage all nursing and support staff for the service
- Coordinate support worker rota with Team Leaders
- To carry out inductions for new nurses and to complete their competency
- Drive the company compliance programme, including the health and safety
- Ensure CQC requirements are upheld at all times
- To ensure medication is administered as prescribed and that it is reviewed at intervals by medical staff
- Facilitate and coordinate treatment plans using the care programme approach and good clinical practice within the MDT setting
About you, the successful Clinical Lead
- Experience in similar mental health settings - low secure, rehab, Forensic
- Experience working effectively within a multi- disciplinary team
- Knowledge of current developments in mental health nursing
- Understanding of rehabilitation and recovery service delivery pathways is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current, valid registration with NMC
- Ability to supervise, lead and motivate a team
- Ability to prioritize workload and delegate appropriately
