THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE BETWEEN 15 TO 26 HOURS AND WILL INCLUDE WEEKENDS AND SOME OVERTIME. MUST BE FLEXIBLE. IMMEDIATE START. NMW RATE
The role of the Launderette Assistant is to run the shop, serve our customers, undertake service washes, and manage the dry cleaned and laundered items awaiting collection. The job requires good timekeeping, good organisation, cleaning and polite and careful handling of our customers and their clothes.
Detailed Description:
· Washing, drying and folding customers clothing for service washes
· Taking garments for dry cleaning and sending them to the factory
· Maintaining safe and secure working environment with regard to health and safety
· Keeping the laundry room clean and tidy; mopping floors, clean and sanitize washing machines and dryers
· Greeting customers, answering phones
- Ironing garments to a high standard
· Dealing with customers in a professional and polite manner
· Running cash register
A launderette assistant must possess strong customer service and good communication skills. Must be organized, a capable problem-solver and able to follow instructions.
The candidate needs to be professional, courteous and comfortable with handling money. We are looking for an individual with a solid work ethic, desire to learn and with ability to think for themselves.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given, this post will require you to work on your own initiative and independently
The candidate must be willing to undertake any training in relation to the post.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £7.00-£9.50 per hour
