We are looking for someone who has:

Passion and commitment towards nature conservation

A willingness to learn the practical aspects of conservation and habitat management.

A desire to develop their basic understanding of the rural estate and enhance the conservation status.

A willingness to develop an understanding of Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), Special Protection Area (SPA) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC).

A passion for nature, wildlife and the outdoors.

A willingness to develop a understanding of the wider ecological issues pertaining to Dstl.

An ability to be a team player.

An ability to work in adverse conditions whilst supporting organisational objectives.
Important Information
You must be 18 to work at Dstl, this mean you must turn 18 before joining us in September 2023 to be eligible to apply for this apprenticeship.
Our work in defence, security and intelligence requires our employees to be UK Nationals who are able to gain a high level of security clearance to undertake the projects we are involved in to protect us from security threats. For this reason, only UK Nationals will be able to apply for this role. This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
