Eljays44 is an established media, publishing and events business based on the South Coast of England. Established in 2011, Eljays44 and its brands established itself as the go-to channels for all things related to the horticulture and landscaping sector.
We are now looking for an editorial assistant to boost our online offering and engage with our readers through an ambitious social media strategy for our flagship B2B publication Pro Landscaper. The editorial assistant will report into the editor.
Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will produce and manage content for the Pro Landscaper website, including sourcing and writing news stories and exclusive features. They will be required to liaise with external clients and readers, and represent the magazine and the company in a professional manner at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Source and produce news stories for the Pro Landscaper website
- Write engaging and relevant online features
- Adhere to, enhance and implement an engaging social media strategy for Pro Landscaper
- Producing and developing our weekly e-newsletter, the Friday Wrap, as well as two monthly e-newsletters
- Ensuring deadlines are met and progress reports provided in a timely manner when requested
- Comply with media law and ethical guidelines
Person Specification:
- Degree in Journalism or related subjects
- Understand the role of B2B magazines and their importance within their sectors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- High level of attention to detail
- A positive attitude and determination to succeed
