What will you be doing?
To support the optimisation and technical improvement of our production packaging line, both equipment and processes. Working in a team of 3 you will work with your supervisors to identify and manage medium sized projects, improving the way operating problems are dealt with and implement corrective actions to ensure no future failures – we call it the 100-year fix!
You will;

Assist in managing the technical and plant related aspects of Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Quality consistent with procedures and targets to meet legislative and regulatory compliance.

Use continuous improvement techniques/tools (ie. Lean Six Sigma)

Development of systems to measure key plant technical performance and output
-
Lead and assist in coordinating problem solving effort requiring technical input

Identify non-optimal plant operations (including use of utilities/energy, sugar loss, material waste) and work with the operations/engineering teams to improve packaging/process operation
This role is based on site in our Thames Refinery in London.
What are we looking for?

Educated to degree level, preferably in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Chemical engineering

Relevant working experience in a similar manufacturing operation /role

Good technical understanding of process flows and unit operations

Technical knowledge of packaging operations would be advantageous

Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and environment regulations

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated with a desire for personal development
