Our logistic team are at the centre of our business providing an efficient and timely collection service to Bulky Bobs customers whilst providing a professional, friendly and courteous customer service.
The hours are 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday - No weekends or overnights!
This role will be based between our Oldham site and Manchester Site.
The roles Key Responsibilities
· Deliver and install new and preloved white goods and furniture into customer properties, placing items in situ and removing packaging
· Install all electrical appliances as per training and FRC processes
· Test installed electrical appliances to ensure they have been safely installed and are in full working order. Provide a brief product demonstration to the customer
· Ensure that delivery and post-delivery paperwork is accurately completed on every occasion
· Drive all company vehicles for which you will hold a current HGV driving licence with supporting CPC
· Adhere to Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive Legislation at all times and produce tachograph records on a weekly basis and upon request.
· Complete a daily vehicle work check and associated paperwork every day and report defects immediately to your manager.
· Schedule, update and amend multiple bulky waste collection route to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
· Carry out multiple bulky waste collections each day ensuring that all AM/PM collections are meet in line with contract KPI target. This includes call backs to properties.
· Ensure that all collection paperwork is completed accurately on a daily basis to ensure that the correct data is gathered for the reuse/recycling performance rate.
· Checking the safety of the load before leaving the properties and also periodically throughout the day.
· Assist the warehouse team in the loading and unloading of vehicles.
· Safeguard all items issued by the company inc, fuel cards, tools, vehicle keys, mobile phones, sat nav and tools.
· Be responsible for the security of tools issued by the company, ensuring that all required tools are available to you during your working day and report any defects or missing items to your manager.
· Provide support and advice to all staff on Driving Change contracts, acting as a mentor to enable their learning to be a Class 2 Driver giving good working practices.
· Provide daily supervision, help, support and advice to staff on placement and to agency staff acting as a mentor and setting the example of good working practices.
· Collect furniture and all other items as instructed from properties as instructed, in a safe and polite manner.
· Collect items from commercial customers in a polite and safe manner.
· Actively protect reusable furniture items whilst stored on vehicle. Aid and Assist the warehouse team in the safe loading and unloading of vehicles to ensure that the maximum volume of items are reused and recycled on a daily basis.
· Deliver furniture including white goods
· Assemble and affix furniture if needed
· Collect uninstall and dismantle used goods for return to warehouse
· Deliver furniture items to store customers and crisis donation customers in a polite and safe manner.·
Communicate with customers about the time of deliveries by ensuring pre-delivery calls are made.
· Post failed delivery cards when access has not been available
· Act professionally and helpfully to maintain good customer relations
· To support your delivery and warehouse crew providing willing support to enable successful completion of deliveries.
· Carry out responsibilities as described in the FRC Group Health and Safety Policy, ensuring that activities are carried out in a safe and without risk to your health or others.
· Undertake any other work appropriate to the job as directed by your Manager or training deemed necessary by the company to include refresher training courses which may take place at weekends.
· Attend all meetings as requested by your supervisor, unless with prior arrangement, including weekly/monthly communication meetings.
